Technical Leader  

We are currently looking for a new Technical Leader.
     

 

Key responsibilities:

  • To create strategy and to guide others in implementing technical solutions within organisation according with the existing processes and directions
  • To propose innovative solutions and to drive their implementation and support
  • Understand business requirements (functional and non-functional) and convert them to technical design
  • Design application architecture standards; provide architectural analysis and system design reviews
  • Propose technology, tools and process guidelines
  • Focus on scalability, maintainability, performance, modularity and security of the application
  • Manage risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture
  • Write architectural/technical documentation
  • Create and support coding standards
  • Implement application frameworks and complex features that use new or unfamiliar technologies, and coding practices; be hands on with coding
  • Analyse code metrics to identify potential areas for improvement and/or refactoring
  • Create alignment and collaboration between team developers.
  • Takes initiative and facilitates knowledge sharing (individual or group sessions)

Thorough knowledge of:

  • Excellent knowledge in .NET Framework and .NET Core Framework
  • Excellent knowledge in using front-end frameworks/libraries
  • Provides good knowledge in regards with general architectures principles
  • Excellent knowledge of back-end systems/frameworks and good knowledge on front-end frameworks or vice vers

Should also have experience with:

  • Communicates and enforces coding standards
  • Performs code reviews and mentors developers on a regular basis
  • Facilitates the delivery of high quality software
  • Takes on traits that other roles may have, such as a Team Lead or Architect but they remain hands-on with code
  • Creates and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Owns the development life cycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project.

Additional skills which will be a plus:

  • Familiar with SaaS application design
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment (scrum and iterative)
  • Good communication skills
  • Keeps project manager well informed of status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager
  • Result-driven and Customer focused
  • Leadership qualities
