Want to find out what it's like to be a part of Centric Hackathon? Our colleague , Florin, gives us his take on Centric Hackathon 2019.

If for some of us the weekend that just ended meant a relaxing time with our loved ones, some of our colleagues participated in the 2nd edition of Centric Hackathon, a 24 hour event. Yes, this meant a night spent at the office, writing code continuously in an attempt to create an application (or a prototype) to help further our organization in creating a smart Centric office.

Although the event started Saturday at 12 o'clock, I was not surprised when more than half of the participants made their presence on the spot 3 hours before Hackathon began. They had devised the latest details, set the strategy on how they would approach this event, and last but not least ... had socialized, shared ideas. They showed, as elsewhere, that although they were going to compete against each other, first of all we are a great family and that is what defines us!

At the start of Hackathon, the focus changed to product development. Even short cigarette breaks could not change the topic of discussion between the participants. Ideas soon turned into applications that began to take shape at a fast pace.

The Centric Offices lit the Palas garden all night, a sign that our colleagues were not tired. They continued to develop applications despite the fact that “Mos Ene” was beating at the meeting rooms doors.

Sunday afternoon brought us the moment of pitches. All participants invested the last drops of energy in their presentations to convince the jury of the importance and potential of  the applications they had developed over the last 24 hours.

And ... they all did it!
Congratulations! Congratulations for the energy you showed! Congratulation for the enthusiasm you had! Congratulations for your results!

They are our heroes… Our Centric heroes!
