Centric has acquired the activities and a large part of the staff of Magma IT Solutions, strengthening its position in the area of HR & Payroll solutions. Magma was declared bankrupt on 6 September.
The trustee, Mr J. Huppertz, selected Centric from the long line of companies willing to take over Magma, which included major national and international (listed) corporations. The trustee is convinced that the future of Magma's staff, customers, and activities is secure at Centric, partly owing to Centric's solid financial position and its strategy.
Centric is already active in the HR & Payroll segment, in the Netherlands with a range of its own products, while it also processes payslips for government and corporate clients. Magma excels in the area of SAP HCM implementations and its main focus is on the education market. The company offers professional HCM consultancy, in-house development, and an extensive services portfolio. This acquisition expands Centric's SAP expertise, enabling it to now independently serve organisations from the top 50 of Dutch SAP users.
Ronald Botterman, the man in charge of Centric's HR & Payroll operations in the Netherlands, stresses the strategic value of the takeover: "We have built a strong position for ourselves in the Netherlands with our own products and services for local governments and corporate clients. In Germany, we are already providing SAP HR solutions to major companies. Thanks to this acquisition we can merge the expertise of our new and our existing staff members, and base our propositions in the different markets on that extended expertise. Centric will continue to invest in expertise in the area of HR & Payroll, and we offer our new customers and staff members a solid basis for a shared future."
