HelpDesk Engineer

WANTED: a helpdesk engineer with a desire to actively involve him/herself in implementing the Support Department in Centric.
Thorough knowledge of Windows 2003 to Windows 2012 R2 as well as hardware knowledge (printers, cpu units, displays, scanners) are a must.

Key responsibilities:

  • Actively involved in implementing the Support Department in Centric
  • Solve problems independently through procedures and work instructions
  • Handling top priority tickets
  • Helping the team in finding the best resolution for any technical issue reported by our customers
  • Resolving tasks and making sure that they are handled properly and in a timely manner
  • Monitoring and reporting the daily activity to the managers
  • Creating documentation for internal procedures
  • Working closely with the other departments to prioritize and fix the technical bugs found in our platform
  • Providing level 2 client support via telephone, web based help desk tools and e-mail
  • Providing on-demand remote support, troubleshooting for our customers
  • Gathering and analysis of log data from customers end devices
  • Testing bugs and trying to reproduce issues that are reported by our customers
  • Reporting bugs and adding feature requests in our internal bug tracking system
  • Server monitoring and load management
  • Reporting server issues to our sys admins/devops
  • Escalating support issues appropriately

Thorough knowledge of:

  • Windows 2003, Windows 7, Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012 R2
  • Hardware knowledge: printers, cpu units, displays, scanners, etc.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Unix, SQL Server Management Studio
  • Knowledge of VM Ware and HyperV is a plus
