Hoogvliet Supermarket in Boskoop goes live with Centric StoreWorld Points of Sale

In January, Hoogvliet’s Boskoop store was the first of this chain’s 59 supermarkets to go live with Centric StoreWorld. StoreWorld automation will be rolled out at all Hoogvliet stores in 2010.
Boskoop’s Hoogvliet supermarket has been equipped with both the StoreWorld BackStore and the StoreWorld FrontStore solution. Systems will be controlled from the Hoogvliet head office in Alphen aan den Rijn. Communication will be near-realtime thanks to the StoreWorld Message bus based on message queuing and web services.
Hoogvliet’s decision to opt for Centric StoreWorld gives it an open and advanced store automation package. A package that can easily be extended with new developments. Hoogvliet is expecting considerable simplification of its existing business processes, as well as a boost to process efficiency. And this supermarket chain also expects StoreWorld to contribute to the improvement of management information.
